Tutoring Program Volunteers Needed

Volunteers from the community are needed to serve as tutors in an upcoming tutoring program for Perry Public Schools students, grades 1st-6th. Tutors will assist students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Perry.

The tutoring program will run January 20 through May 5, with the exception of February 24 for Parent/Teacher conferences and also no tutoring during spring break.

Anyone interested in volunteering for this program can contact tutoring program coordinator, Paula Gottschalk at the Perry Upper Elementary. She can be reached by email pgottschalk@perry.k12.ok.us or by phone 580-336-2577.

Background checks for all volunteer candidates will be conducted by the Noble County Family YMCA. High school students are also eligible to serve as tutors.

This is a great opportunity to help students in our community. The more tutors available, the more students we can serve!

On Tuesday, Dec. 21, students will be released early at 1:30 p.m. for winter break. Students will return to school for the second semester on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. Wishing you a joyful and healthy holiday season!
